Iconic Papers:
The 1st Fundamental Research Symposium was held in 1957 and since then has been held every 4 years, including contributions from the very best pulp and paper scientists and engineers from around the globe. Members of the FRC have picked out their own favourites from our extensive archive for our new Iconic Papers section. In each case, you can download a reprint of the paper and read the reasons why it is considered so influential on past and future research in our subject.

Proceedings of Fundamental Research Symposia now accredited by Thomson Reuters:
The proceedings of the 13th and 14th Fundamental Research Symposia have been included in the Thomson Reuters database. All articles published in these proceedings can now be searched via Web of Science®, Web of Knowledge® and the Conference Proceedings Citation Index - Science®. Proceedings of future symposia will be submitted for inclusion in these databases.

Plans are already in place for the 15th Fundamental Research Symposium. The FRC has already made a booking at Robinson College, Cambridge for 8-13 September, 2013, the venue for 2 previous, successful symposia. The college provides an excellent environment for meetings with state of the art presentation facilities, comfortable delegate rooms, bar and dining room and, of course, excellent food.

If you have any ideas, comments or complaints please email us and let us know.

Best regards,

Steve I'Anson, FRC Chairman.
